Antique 9ct Gold Tiger / Lion Claw Cufflinks c1890

These Victorian Cuff Links are in excellent condition. They weigh a heavy 5.53 grammes together and the claw mount is 28mm across. During the Victorian Era it was common for people to go on expeditions to India & Africa to shoot big cats, lions, tigers etc. They would de-claw the animals and have them set, usually in silver, as brooches or necklaces. I have never seen them set in gold as cuff links.
